SHEREE COMMERFORD COLLABORATION | INTIMATE BRAND EVENT
Having established itself in the Australian market in 2016, MCMPR recognised an opportunity for online luxury designer re-sale site Vestiaire Collective to further educate, inspire and engage new customers with the platform through a localised and authentic ambassador program. As a result, MCMPR fused a relationship between the brand and content creator Sheree Commerford, of Captain and the Gypsy Kid. A genuine vintage lover who was already a natural spokesperson who sells and shops on the site; Sheree was engaged to create social and digital content over a three month partnership with the highlight moment being an intimate and immersive brand lunch with Sheree’s closest circle of influential fashion loving friends.
The event demonstated the easy steps to buy, sell and enjoy Vestiaire in a casual conversation between friends including designers Heidi Middleton, Jamie Blakey and Claire Tregoning, Magazine Editor Justine Cullen, journalist Felicity Bonello and business woman Kelly Searle. Each guest become a member of Vestiaire’s global community and shopping the platform via the App, which was pre-downloaded onto iPads.
As pioneers of sustainable fashion practices, all production elements adhered to a pre-loved theme; guests wore vintage, the table setting made up of second-hand tableware from across the globe, the floral centerpiece from Sheree’s garden, and all printed materials made from 100% recycled paper. The lunch menu was curated by Tasmanian-born, outdoor chef Sarah Glover. The catering offered a visual and sensory experience with each dish cooked on an outdoor fire pit during the event. The unique styling provided the perfect setting to capture elevated content, which was shared over 45 times across guests’ social channels.
