To mark the 25th year of operation MCMPR has achieved carbon neutral certification under the Climate Active standard. The move aligns with the agency’s mission to stay focused on the path ahead and its belief in the communication industry’s ability to influence and drive positive impact.
The agency received carbon neutral certification in December 2021 following an audit conducted under the Climate Active guidelines which led to the offsetting of its emissions with green projects in the Northern Territory and commitment to a long-term emissions reduction strategy. In the short term, this involves addressing the agency’s highest emission sources; alongside the continual improvement and refinement of day-to-day operations and policies that align MCMPR with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
