MCMPR acknowledges the traditional owners and custodians of Country throughout Australia and recognises their continuing connection to the land, seas and community.
As homage to Australia’s true history, MCMPR partnered with first nation’s artist Shaun Daniel Allen commissioning him to create one of his Balun artworks for our windows in Darlington to exhibit throughout January 2021.
Shaun Allen (Shal) is a Yugambeh/Bundjalung artist currently residing and working on Gadigal land. His work draws inspiration from the land he was born and grew up on. Through significant brush strokes his current work “Balun”, centres on his connection to land and water.
